The past year has presented challenges for the Digicel Trinidad and Tobago Foundation as communities across the country continue to be affected by the ongoing pandemic. In spite of these challenges, the foundation has reported a successful investment totaling TT$3.4 million in which over 21,000 people were impacted through 33 projects.
With a theme of “Being extraordinary in extra-ordinary times,” the Digicel Trinidad and Tobago Foundation focused on implementing and contributing to various causes and projects to aid community members in need. One such project was the foundation’s ‘Connecting You’ initiative that provided 1,915 devices to 63 schools. The foundation also contributed to its mission of sustainable community development through its EPIC (Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities) grant funding, which was used to invest and assist with 23 community projects. Looking forward, the Digicel Trinidad and Tobago Foundation seeks to deepen relationships with communities and build strategic relationships.
