To provide relief to communities in Trinidad and Tobago, the Digicel Foundation has partnered with ten local NGOs to provide grocery vouchers to 1,000 families. Some of the NGOs Digicel partnered with include LoveUntil Foundation, TT Red Cross Society, Tobago Youth Council, Care Helpers Organisation, and Hopeful Handbags.
Digicel Foundation named the partnership between the local NGOs the “Standing Together” initiative. In addition to handing out grocery vouchers to families in need, the initiative also had a goal to challenge other NGOs to support the local community and raise awareness about COVID relief stories. They encouraged others to share their stories using the hashtag #StandingTogether.
